Full course description

Success in business is based on constantly adjusting to changes in the market. A business is any activity that seeks to provide goods and services to others while operating at a profit. To earn that profit, you provide desired goods, jobs, and services to people or other businesses. Goods are tangible products such as computers, food, clothing, cars, and appliances. Services are intangible products (i.e., products that can’t be held in your hand) such as education.

This module will provide a foundation in business because it includes understanding risks and profits, the economy, and identifying what businesses must do to meet global challenges. After all, we live in a global marketplace where you can purchase goods from all over the world!

This module is complimentary and will take approximately 15 hours to complete.

This online self-paced module is non-credit bearing, avocational, and not part of a DeVry University or Keller Graduate School of Management program of study. This module is provided to help you develop or enhance your skills. Completion of this module does not lead to employment.
